I juli i år besökte vi en restaurang som heter Hsin Hsin. Det är en asiatisk restaurang som erbjuder en buffé på vardagar mellan kl 11 - 15:30. Buffén består utav tolv olika rätter bland annat, husmanskost, thaimat, kinamat och sushi.
Lokalen är liten men det är inte alltid fullt för att restaurangen ligger i ett industriområde vilket leder till att de flesta kunderna kommer under lunchtid (12 - 13:30).

Nu till maten, de har potential till att vara en riktig bra restaurang om maten höll en bättre nivå. Det fanns mycket som inte var bra, t.ex. det kokta riset var kletig, kall och smaklös. Deras stekta kycklingfilé var torr och smaklös, jordnötssåsen var smaklös och den förstörde smakupplevelsen.
På fredagar erbjuds det äppelpaj i buffén och den var inte alls god. Den var mjölig, hård och innehöll för få äpplen.
Utöver det, var deras friterade kycklingar och räkor goda.

Hi Foodlovers!

In July this year, we visited a restaurant called Hsin Hsin. It's an Asian restaurant that offers a lunch buffet between 11 am to 15:30 pm. The buffet consists of twelve different dishes among others plain food, Thai food, Chinese food and sushi.
The restaurant is small but not always crowded except during lunchtime (12 noon to 13:30).

Now to the food, they have potential to be a really good restaurant considered the food they serve but that's not the case here. Their rice was sticky, cold and tasteless, the fried chicken filet was bland and dry and lastly the peanut sauce destroyed the entire taste experience.
On Fridays they include apple pie in the buffet as a desert but it was not tasty at all, it contained too much flour and was hard.
Beside all that the best things in the buffet were the fried chicken and shrimps.

Restaurant Review: Steak N Cheese & Co

Hi Foodlovers! Today we bring you our first restaurant review for this year! We went for some Philly Cheesesteaks at Gothenburg. First up was the service. The service wasn´t the best, we stood first in line but still had to wait for over 10 mins to place our order. It felt like they were understaffed even though they were not. Once we placed our order, they had a station outside where you could watch your food get made, that was a nice touch. Our order: Philadelphia Steak N´Cheese (Grilled chuck steak, cheddar cheese, white cheese, fried onions, bell pepper, fresh mushrooms and sauce), Spicy fries and Sweet potato fries. Now then let´s break down the food. Both fries were good, we got a good dressing but had no idea what kind it was since we didn´t get to choose. The cheesesteak could have been tastier. It lacked spices. The meat wasn´t even seasoned which was a letdown in our opinion. The sauce in the cheesesteak didn´t improve the taste but the cheese was good. Name : Steak

Restaurant Review: Lydia's Diner

Hej Foodlovers! Idag summerar vi vår upplevelse på Lydia's Diner . Det är en restaurang som erbjuder mat med inspiration från USA. De har ett bra utbud på deras buffé. Deras buffé bestod av en salladsbar, fyra olika pizzor, vitlöksbröd, tacos, nachos, kycklinggrytor, kycklingvingar, potatis mm. Pizzorna var väldigt goda och de bestod av kyckling-, kebab-, köttfärs- och baconpizza. Pizzorna var tjocka "Chicago Deep" style och smakade väldigt gott. Salladsbaren hade ett bra utbud av grönsaker och dressingar, det fanns även vanligt vitt bröd och tortillabröd. Vitlöksbrödet var väldig oljig och var en av besvikelsen med buffén. Det som fattades i buffén var desserten, det hade varit trevligt med åtminstone någon dessert till maten. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Det fanns bra med platser och man kunde äta i lugn och ro, en väldigt skön stämning. På det stora hela var maten bra, speciellt pizzorna! Namn: Lydia's Diner Pris: 89 kr Betygsä

Restaurant Review: Mr. Döner

Hi Foodlovers! Today we got a really good restaurant up for review. We went out for some pizza and found this place called Mr. Döner. The location was calm and the service was great. It wasn´t too busy when we went there. You have the option to either sit outside or upstairs in the restaurant. We ordered a kebab pizza and this might be the best one in a long while. We´ve been on the hunt for an authentic kebab pizza here in Gothenburg but it seems hard to find. They usually serve kebab as pork meat here instead of beef but this restaurant had the real thing, beef kebab. The pizza overall was excellent every bite was wonderful and this was such a delicious pizza, WOW! They didn´t skimp on the meat like most restaurant does and the sauce was top notch.
